We all know what a Piñata is, but have you ever heard of a Pieñata? The PieCrazyKids have come up with something different that really packs a surprise!
A Pieñata is a pie-shaped piñata you make yourself that pops open with your own special message or a gift surprise. It can be constructed with paper plates or an aluminum foil pie pan covered with a paper plate. With minimal grown-up supervision, the Pieñatas can be colored and decorated using the free printable line art at PieCrazyKids. Also, there are a variety of character party plates available at your local food or party supply store that can dress your Pieñata(s) as a familiar tv character.
Pieñatas are inexpensive, easy to make, and can be reloadable. Make one for each child at your party to take one home to enjoy on their bedroom walls or refrigerator. Plus, creative Pieñata games are full of excitement. One example is "Flying Pepperoni" .....a great game that teaches arithmetic and real distance measurement.
Enjoy!
